Honeyguide Mantobeni Tented Camp - Manyeleti Private Reserve
Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is designed to reflect Hemingway’s Africa. There are 15 tents which are nestled in a Tamboti grove overlooking a dry river bed. Our reception area is comprised of a large sitting area, an outdoor area with a splash pool & sun loungers, a bar and an extensive climate controlled wine cellar. Game visiting the nearby watering hole can be seen from the swimming pool deck which adjoins the reception area. The tents at Mantobeni Camp are furnished with king size beds (we can convert these to twins should this be required), mosquito nets and soft leather couches. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with a sunken concrete bath, double shower, his & hers basins and a separate toilet.
The tents are each set on a wooden platform that has 5 steps leading up to the tent. There is soft lighting within the tent and we do provide mosquito repellent for our guests. Due to the layout and terrain of Mantobeni Camp, we only accommodate children over the age of 12 years.

Bordering the Kruger National Park and situated between the Timbavati and the Sabi Sand Reserves, lies the Manyeleti Game Reserve which encompasses 23,000 hectares of land. The Manyeleti Reserve is home to our two tented camps – Mantobeni Camp & Khoka Moya Camp. Each camp offers breath-taking wildlife experiences, including the Big Five, superb cuisine, and service excellence. The 15 well-spaced tents are nestled in a Tamboti grove overlooking a dry riverbed. Relax in the large open tranquil bar area, enjoy the infinity pool, comfortable sun lounges, and watching the wildlife drinking from the nearby waterhole. The tents at Mantobeni offer an open veranda to allow you to relax as it is elevated on a wooden platform. The furnishings are soft leather couches, extra-length beds, mosquito nets with an open air en-suite bathroom.
The 15 tented suites create an experience that is rugged yet luxurious along with open air En-suite bathrooms, large beds with quality linen, and private decks that look out onto the bushveld make your tented room your own personal oasis in the wilderness.
The Mantobeni Camps luxury tents are elevated on a wooden platform, the tent furnished for maximum comfort and provides extra-long queen/twin size beds.
Manyeleti Game Reserve is home to some of the best game viewing in South Africa, it offers guests a wide variety of lion, buffalo, leopard, elephant and rhino to spot on their game drives into the reserve, as well as a chance to enjoy an ample selection of bird-life nestled amongst the lush vegetation.
